What are your tablecloth dimensions?
Each full-length tablecloth measures 35" L x 35" W x 28.5" H, and is designed to perfectly fit a standard-size square folding table (34” L x 34” W x 29” H) like this one. Each piece is also pleated and designed for comfort with a custom split drop on each side.
Will your tablecloths fit other tables, not just a standard-size square folding table?
While our tablecloths are designed with standard-size, folding tables in mind, they can be used on similarly sized tables for a full, draped effect. We recommend taking measurements beforehand to ensure a good fit.
What are your tablecloths made of?
All of our table coverings are made of 100% cotton.
Do your tablecloths have any backing or padding?
No, our tablecloths do not have any additional backing or padding. They each consist of a double layer of 100% cotton.
Do your tablecloths fully cover the table legs and anything else under the table?
Yes, our tablecloths are full-length on all sides, falling just above the floor to discreetly cover table legs and anything underneath. See above for exact dimensions.
Will I still be able to use my mahjong mat on your tablecloths?
Yes, mahjong mats typically range between 31.5" × 31.5" and 34" × 34”, so they fit perfectly on a standard-size square folding table, which is exactly the type of table our coverings are made to fit.
Bonus: each of our tablecloths feature a hidden pocket sleeve so you can easily stash your mat underneath.
Can I use your tablecloths for things other than playing mahjong?
Yes, absolutely! Whether you’re entertaining dinner guests, hosting a baby shower, or planning wedding decor, we designed our tablecloths with mahjong in mind but they're versatile and perfect for any occasion.
Are your tablecloths machine washable?
Yes, all of our table coverings are made of 100% cotton and are machine washable. We recommend washing them separately on a gentle cycle in cold water. Dry flat or tumble dry low.
Are your tablecloths stain-resistant?
Our tablecloths are 100% cotton so they are subject to the same types of stains you would see on other cotton linens or pieces of clothing. See above for recommended washing instructions.
Do your tablecloths wrinkle easily? How should I press them?
Because they’re 100% cotton, the tablecloths will naturally wrinkle like other cotton linens. We recommend flipping them over and ironing them from underneath. Use the same heat setting you would typically use for any other cotton linen item.
Can I use your tablecloths outside?
Yes, our tablecloths are versatile and work beautifully both indoors and outdoors. We do recommend limiting prolonged sun exposure as UV light will naturally cause cotton fabrics to fade over time.
How do I fold your tablecloths and where should I store them?
Here is a short video that shows you how to properly fold your tablecloth. Store your tablecloth in a cool, dry, dark place such as a linen closet or interior shelf away from direct sun, moisture, and heat.
Do you restock specific prints or are they limited edition?
We currently offer 10 signature prints that we aim to keep regularly restocked, allowing for the time it takes to design, block-print, and ship each batch. We’re also working on our Fall/Winter collection so stay tuned for fresh new designs!
Will my tablecloth look exactly like the one in the picture?
Our tablecloths are produced in small batches using block-printed fabrics so slight variations in colors and/or patterns may occur.
Where do you make your tablecloths?
Each tablecloth is designed and hand-selected here in Charleston, South Carolina. We have valued partnerships with sustainable clothiers in India that physically produce and assemble the finished product.
Do you ship internationally?
No, we do not offer international shipping at this time.
Do you do custom orders?

What is your policy on returns and refunds?
We want you to love your tablecloth as much as we loved creating it. If something isn’t quite right, we accept returns within 14 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a return:
•Item must be unused and in original condition
•Item must be returned in original packaging
To initiate a return, please contact us at hello@thegildedgrasshopper.com with your order number. Once approved, we will provide a return shipping label—a $10 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund. All refunds will be processed to your original form of payment.
